How much does a real estate chatbot cost?

An AI chatbot for a real estate agency usually costs between €0 and a few hundred euros a month. What you pay depends on the pricing model: per conversation, per resolved conversation, or a flat monthly plan with a message allowance. Vesperdesk costs €50 a month plus a one-time €200 setup (excluding VAT), with 1,000 assistant messages included. This guide explains the models and the costs agencies tend to miss.

The three pricing models

Almost every chatbot on the market charges in one of three ways. The model matters more than the headline price, because it decides what a busy month costs you.

  • Per conversation: you pay for every chat the AI handles, whether or not it helped. Tidio’s Lyro AI agent works this way, starting at around $32.50 a month for 50 conversations.
  • Per resolution: you pay only when the AI closes a conversation without a human. Intercom’s Fin charges $0.99 per resolution, on top of Intercom seats from $29 per seat a month.
  • Flat plan with an allowance: a monthly fee covers a set volume, with a price for extra volume. Vesperdesk’s Pilot plan is €50 a month for 1,000 assistant messages, then €10 per 300 extra messages.

What a real estate agency actually pays

Take an agency whose website gets a few thousand visitors a month. On the agency websites we run, about 1 in 100 visitors who see the chat opens it, so a few dozen buyer conversations a month is realistic. At that volume, per-conversation tools cost tens of dollars a month, and per-resolution tools cost a similar amount plus seats.

The price gap between tools is small at agency volume. The gap in what you get is large: a general chatbot answers from your FAQ page, while a real estate chatbot answers from your listings — price, availability, layout, floor plans — and books viewings.

The costs that are not on the pricing page

The subscription is rarely the biggest cost. Setting the bot up well is. Someone has to load the listings, write the rules (what the bot may say about price, mortgages and legal questions), connect the channels and test the answers before buyers see them.

  • Setup time: self-serve tools are cheap to start but you do the setup yourself. Expect several days of work for a catalog of a few hundred listings.
  • Keeping listings current: a chatbot that quotes a sold property costs you trust. Check how the tool learns about new and removed listings.
  • Per-channel fees: WhatsApp and other messaging channels can add their own costs.
  • Seats: helpdesk-style tools charge per agent who answers handed-over chats.

What Vesperdesk costs

Vesperdesk is in private pilot. The Pilot plan has a public price: a one-time €200 setup plus €50 a month, excluding VAT. It includes 1,000 assistant messages a month (a message is one reply from the assistant), the website widget and Telegram, up to 500 listings, and email support. Extra messages cost €10 per 300. It is month to month: cancel any time.

The setup fee pays for real work: we load your listings, write the rules for your market, and test the bot on real buyer questions before it goes live. Larger agencies and multi-brand groups get a quote based on their catalog (Studio and Agency plans).

Frequently asked

Is there a free real estate chatbot?
Several tools have free tiers with a small number of AI conversations. They work for testing, but they usually answer from a generic FAQ rather than from your listings, and the setup work is yours.
Is a chatbot cheaper than a receptionist?
Yes, by a wide margin, but it is not a replacement. A chatbot answers the repeated questions at any hour and hands the serious buyers to your agents with a summary.
What counts as a message in Vesperdesk?
One reply from the assistant. A typical buyer conversation has several messages. The Pilot plan includes 1,000 messages a month.
